Black Prophet
International reggae star Black Prophet has revealed that he doesn’t smoke nor does he drink alcohol.
The Jamaican based reggae artist revealed in an interview that it has been 20 years since he became a vegan and he has never taken in alcohol or smoked in his whole music career.
Reggae and Dancehall musicians are mostly labeled with excessive use of alcohol and drugs like marijuana but Black Prophet’s statement has shocked many people.
“I don’t eat dairy products, there’s no blood in my food. I don’t drink and smoke, I don’t want to take names that someone is smoking or someone is not smoking, I left judgment to the Lord.”
“But personally, I must have knowledge about whatever I do, so I don’t smoke nor do I drink, that’s just me.” he added.
He pointed out Shatta Wale, Samini and Stonebwoy as young musicians who are promoting reggae and dancehall music in Ghana and encouraged them to continue the good work that he and the rest of the reggae legends have done for the industry.
Black Prophet has collaborated with a lot of Ghanaian artists including Kwaw Kese, Edem, 2ga and many others.
Black Prophet is currently on media tour. He is also busy doing collaborations with various artists these days.
