Amakye Dede at his Manager’s funeral
Amakye Dede, GH highlife musician has revealed the amount that he spent on the final funeral ceremony of Isaac Yeboah, his late manager.
A violent car accident which happened on 1st January, 2016 New Year’s Day while the highlife musician, Prince Mensah, his bodyguard and his manager were waiting for him to perform a show at the concert at Paradise Resort, on the roadside which led manager to death and highlife legend escape from death.
Abrantie Amakye Dede said, while talking on Entertainment Review Show on Thursday, he spent round about GH 50,000 cedi on the burial service.
He stated, “What I remember on paper is GH¢ 49,296 and the donation gathered to GH¢ 31,530. So after the burial service, I asked that they offer the car which was encountered in the road accident and include GH¢ 20,000 from the donations to the cash they will get by selling that car and purchase a fix deposit for the two children of Isaac Yeboah, whom they left behind.”
Amakye Dede included that whatever, rest of the money was given to the mother and family of late Isaac Yeboah.
Moreover, he said, “I likewise asked that they give GH¢ 10,000 to his mother and the remaining GH¢ 1,500 was given to his family including wife and two children for transportation back to their homes. The total amount I spent on the funeral of manager was my method for giving my manager a befitting funeral. I’m not taking it from anyone else. It was my method for indicating appreciation to my previous manager.”
The Isaac Yeboah’s final funeral ceremony was come off on the last Saturday, 30th of January at Abrantie Spot, Lapaz. The ceremony was attended by many celebrities, musical artists, political figures, administrators, members of Musicians Union of Ghana (MUSIGA) and members of Ghana Music Right Owners (GHAMRO), family, relatives and friends of the late.
