Guru
Over the years, the award-winning musician Guru had been dropping hits after hits, but his deserving hit songs never got him any award at the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards.
Even though in some situations it was obvious he deserved to win in the certain categories.
The condition has become so serious at certain level that people who are not even fans of Guru have given views that he has not been treated fairly throughout the years.
And from Ransford Kumi’s point of view, he deserves the artist of the year award for 2016.
VGMA 2015 will be held shortly and as Kumi wrote we hope he will be treated equally and fairly by getting all his deserving awards.
Ransford Kumi posted a photo of the musician on his Facebook page and wrote;
“Music Awards in Ghana Have not been fair to Guru especially VGMAs. Even though am not a fan of him but Personally, I think the Lapaz Toyota hit maker for the past 3 years has put in much effort in his works and the music industry as a whole..Well,from my point of view,i think Guru deserves the 2016 artist of the year Award if Shatta Wale is not nominated”
