Rapper/Hiplife Edem has rubbished the rumours that he is not in good terms with former Big Brother Amplified House mate, Confidence Haugen after their relationship went sour a few years back.
Edem hinted that he is quite close to Confidence’ first son but he is not the Godfather of the child.
“I am not the godfather but am in fact close to the first born who is called Edem and is almost 11 years old now so he was born before I met his mother,” he said.
As stated by him, he is still speaks with Confidence Haugen and that he was aware of her pregnancy.
Confidence gave birth to a baby boy last week.
“I knew about Confidence carrying a baby. She contacted me when she was pregnant, she shared her baby’s photos with me and I have been with her through the whole process. I was aware of the baby’s arrival and I am so glad for her and I knew the baby’s name before everyone got to know because we are good friends and really close to each other,” he pointed.
When asked about how he keeps friendships together, he explained ‘I’m so ultramodern so you have to keep moving on. And that is exactly what you need to do. You have to be distinguishing that you could differentiate what the media says from the traits you know of someone as a person when you know them personally. If you are able to work out that then you can keep your friendships/relationships with people,’ he pointed out.
Asked if the baby looks like him, he responded in funny way “I’m vicious and I am not good-looking. I don’t like that gentleness; it’s too girlish”.
“This is not television but I can show you the baby’s pictures if you want to see the handsome boy,” he stated.
The Books and Rhymes singer mentioned that he is proud of Confidence, saying they left their differences behind and kept their friendship going.
“She’s very joyful, a tough woman. I am proud of her, we had our differences we left them behind and still have a good friendship. I think it’s the matter of understanding that when things happen and another day starts, those things are in the past,” he stressed.
