Veteran Ghanaian on-screen characters, Mercy Asiedu has lamented over the rate at which “Kumawood” films are bound with affront and insult.
Ms Mercy Asiedu says she in some cases feels exceptionally embarrassed when watching local films with youngsters at home as a result of the insults.
What’s bringing the Kumawood films down and killing them is the insults – it is excessive, and this is putting numerous individuals off, she told the media person in an Entertainment show, last Saturday.
She lays the fault at the doorstep of film directors, according to her they are the main reason behind these insults, demanding they are the one who choose what goes into a motion picture before it is released onto the business sector and everyone watched it.
In the event that, I Mercy Asiedu is acting in a motion picture and offending here and there, it is the decision of the director and not me – he has guided me to utilize some tarnished words, she kept up.
She cautioned that local motion pictures were missing out to outside ones in light of the obnoxious dialect, and challenged all partners to put a stop to the slide in viewership.
