Ghanaian writer, entrepreneur and creative directive Okyeame Kwame (OK) has named Ghanaian legend Abedi Pele as his ideal role model.
In a recent interview, the highlife sensation could not hide his appreciation for the former Black Stars and Olympic Marseille player whom he labeled as a perfect role model.
“Sometimes when I get tired whilst working, I think about a player like Abedi Pele.”
“I picture what he goes through to give me that satisfaction or that contentment I feel when I see him while he plays.”
He recalls how Abedi Pele gets up early in the morning, exercises, goes to the gym, and does all those things; and when he is in the game, he gets lashed out in the head, pushed, but it does not matter, he stands up and fights again.
“That’s how he inspires me and I believe if government would use such an imagery to motivate young people, I believe Ghana will start getting on the right track.”
