Actress Salma Mumin
Ghanaian actress and movie producer, Salma Mumin is the most recent young woman to join the chain of on-screen characters that produce their own films.
This is a signal many people ascribe to the reality that, the actors and actress don’t get movie roles however the producer of movie, ‘No Man’s Land’ says that is a long way from reality.
She said, “It’s not like that I am producing movies because I don’t get any role to play in movies or I don’t get calls from movie makers to feature in films, and moreover before entering into production, I was an actress.
She said in a meeting with media source, “My intention in making this stride is to give youthful on-screen characters the chance to showcase their abilities.”
When asked a question from her that, this step will stop other production houses from giving her roles to play as film directors or movie makers will think about her as a ‘high time’ performing artist, she replied; “the production house that produced the films is Salma Pictures and I am CEO of this production house, so it’s absolutely impossible that other film makers will consider very me so far as charging for films is concerned.”
Salma Mumin debut her ever first movie, titled ‘No Man’s Land’ on this weekend at the SilverBird cinemas. The debut united a lot of industry players, actors and on-screen characters including Juliet Ibrahim.
