Ghanaian rapper D-Black
Anglophone Ghanaian hip hop rapper D-Black has disclosed that before starting his music career, he was a basketball player during his school time.
Desmond Kwesi Blackmore, better known by his stage name, D Black in an exclusive interview with Media Person uncovered that he was a sportsman in school time, where he played football very well however has later developed his interest in basketball before he picked to go into music. He was at home in playing basketball but due to changing circumstances he has to consider music.
“I used to play soccer in school however when I went to Pope Johns secondary school I swapped to basketball where I also made the basketball team for my school”.
He said, “The football team at Pope Johns school was comprised of players who were excessively strong for my liking and enjoying, and that was the main reason behind why I decided later on playing basketball”.
He further clarified how he became a musical artist, “I think I had a very greater passion for making music and songs than I accomplished for sports and like I said in supplementary school, I didn’t generally think there was quite a bit of a future in basketball by then.”
