Nigeria Entertainment Awards (NEA) celebrates their 9th year of award function where they honored the Nigeria entertainment industry members at the NYU Skirball Center for Performing Arts in New York.

The award function is full of incredible performances including that of Wande Coal, Praiz, Oritsefemi, the “Sekem” master MC Galaxy. Other performances include Patoranking, who performed on his popular song “Girlie O” and Skales with his new, single “Shake Body”.
Bovi and Funke Akindele, the hosts of the night kept the audience with some entertaining jokes while Gbemi Olateru-Olagbegi engaged the audiences with his questions.
US and Nigeria/Africa based media houses powered the Red carpet coverage – Channel O, BellaNaija, OkayAfrica, Inside Africa, Bubbles Magazine, Sound City, Black Enterprise, Luxxe Living and UDRradio are some of them.
Kcee ft. Wizkid and Aye by Davido both emerge winners for the hottest single of the year category after being tied.
Other winner includes Olamide for Album of the Year, DJ Spinall for World DJ, Desmond Elliot for Best Director, and Mavin’s First Lady Tiwa Savage took home R&B Artiste of the Year and Female Artist of the year awards.
Tiwa Savage, in her acceptance speech praised everyone, the organizers, fans and the entire industry for their support to the NEAs, added, the Internationals awards such as BET and MTV started off similar to the NEAs and it is only because of the support and the love we are receiving from our fans.
