Reggie Rockstone, a member of VVIP, has asked why the trio’s video for their hit tune ‘Dogo Yaro’ was not nominated for Best Music Video of the Year category at the current year’s Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMAs).
Talking with Abrantepa in the mid-morning show “Brunch2Lunch” on Monday, Reggie Rockstone said the music video deserved to have been nominated in the up and coming VGMAs on the grounds that it is of high quality.
He pondered what the board was searching for that they didn’t find in the Pascal Aka directed video to justify a nomination.
We have buckled down the year under survey and from the day I joined the group. Be that as it may, the Dogo Yaro music video which was not nominated is the thing that I don’t seem to comprehend because it’s an amazing video, he said.
The video made the song a hit. What was the criteria they utilized on the grounds that outfit, choreography, set, coordinating were all on point. TV channel chose VVIP for their next task on account of that video, Reggie Rockstone added.
The nomination list for the VGMAs 2016 had the following as nominees for the Best Music Video of the Year category, it was released last Friday:
Shelele – EL
Nkontompo – Obrafour
Dumb Drum – Yaa Yaa
Girlfriend – Edem
The Warning – Teephlow
Crazy for God – Preachers
