Multitalented actress and film producer Yvonne Nelson is ready to delight Ghanaians with an exhilarating TV series scheduled to hit the screens in about a month.
In an exclusive interview last Thursday, the clearly thrilled Yvonne said she is excited about her new project and can’t wait to release it.
As stated by Yvonne Nelson, ninety percent of the cast consists of new actors who do not have any acting experience, “the only known faces in the series are Regina of GHOne and Live FM, Jason of GHOne, Pappy Kojo and I, everyone else is absolutely new, “ she said.
Though she did not reveal the name of the upcoming series produced by Lieve for now, she stated that it revolves around new young people and it’s something that will attract the youth.
“When I was on the shoot for If Tomorrow Never Comes, a young person of about 19 years contacted me and suggested that my next project should be centered around young people, I thought about it and here we are with this project”, the Executive Producer of the TV series explained.
“The writer is Richie who gave life to the story but the concept is mine, it is something that will attract the youth,” she said.
Talking about some of the challenges she went through while shooting the series, Yvonne said, “It was very challenging for me. I always like to challenge myself and it involved a lot of money which I all alone had to fund.”
She added that it felt like she was on the shoot of three movies at the same time but at the end of the day, it all came out just right because everyone on the set did well considering that most of them had not acted before.
When asked what viewers can expect from this project, Yvonne said, “It is going to be very exciting. People will stick to their televisions. It is also going to be on DStv so that people outside Ghana can also have the chance to watch it. The pictures are really great; Ghanaians should be tolerant and look forward for it.”
