Ghanaian musical artist, Jon Germain condemned against VGMA board for disqualifying the Dancehall King, Shatta Wale from the music awards.
Charterhouse Productions, organizers of the prestigious Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMA) arranged a press conference on 23rd of February, and in their statement they referred to certain negative comments made by Shatta Wale in the previous few months due to which they decided to ban him.
Pop singer, Jon Germain did not take benevolent to the decision by the Board of the awards took a poke at them for what he depicted as inadmissible and really disappointing.
Jon denounced, “My first most issue with the VGMA Board is for not including Shatta Wale. He put out many hit singles throughout previous month and should be in there. On the off chance that you have an issue with him, then take him to the court or whatever but at least consider his entries”.
Last Saturday, while talking on Ghana’s most popular lifestyle and entertainment show, Celebrity Fan Zone, the Pop vocalist seriously communicated his disappointment over the entire Shatta Wale and VGMA contention and pondered when the VGMA board will obediently fulfill their commitments without any mistakes and further delay.
At first, he hesitates to pass comments on the nominations of VGMA but when host, AkosuaHanson asked a question, Pop singer spoke up quickly, how is this possible that some artists who released their songs many years ago end up being selected for the VGMAs.
