Everyone has some plain single colored shirt in their closet, but most of us just don’t consider wearing them to school or work thinking that they are too plain or boring, and then those shirts no matter how much you had spent on end up becoming your night PJs. Well, guess what? Your plain shirts do not have to be boring only if you dress them up in a fun way. Here we will discuss how to accessorize your plain shirts and look absolutely lovely:
1. Explore your closet:
First of all, you have to explore your closet and look into it carefully considering all the options that you have, get out your plain shirt and pair it with a skinny jeans, if you are going to school or work, you will see your plain shirt transforming right in front of eyes with just pairing them with right kind of pants.
2. Splash some colour to your appearance:
Black or white shirt sure look very plain and boring. It’s time to add some colours to your appearance and stand out among others. Add a bright colored necklace, nothing too big just big enough that it is visible, some cute colored bracelets or a watch will do too.
3. Put on a sweater:
If it is cold outside, put on any blazer, sweater, cardigan or shrug that contrast with the color of your shirt.
4. Slip on colored shoes:
If it is cold, put on some brightly colored shoes sneakers like pink, red or even yellow. Or you can wear long boots with your skinny jeans and look amazing. If it’s summer, consider wearing any brightly colored flats, striped sandals, heels etc. Try to stay away from black and white colored shoes as it will add a more plain look to your overall outfit.
5. Do your hair:
Just don’t go with your hair undone or in the plain pony tail. Your hair does not have to be perfect, but should be done in some interesting way. Just braid it the night before, and brush it through with a hair band, you could also try a messy bun or side braid.
6. Makeup:
Do you like makeup? Yes then it’s great, if no, then it is still okay. Just smile and it will transform your looks. If you wear makeup, always consider the difference between neutral and other colors, how the combination of 2 can change your overall look.
Also try on some leggings, tights etc. You could wear them with a skirt if you don’t want to wear pants. Put yourself together and rock your plain shirt!
