Ghanaian talented Kumawood based movie star, Ellen White has clearly said that, ‘I do not belong to Kumawood at all but instead I represents Ghallywood’.
According to the Chief Executive Officer of White Production in an exclusive interview with Media news, she expressed that Kumawood is not a name to represent the Kumasi movies instead of representing that, Kumawood becomes merely a brand name for an award giving company.
She said, “We are not Kumawood actors. I just want to make an amendment over here. It is a person who has turn out to organize awards for the Twi and AKAN movies. Along with all that, she also put in numerous further languages. So I want to make clear that I am not a Kumawood movie actor but rather a Ghallywood actor.”
The awarding brand, Kumawood has recently come to the media news to indicate films that are produced and directed in Kumasi particularly the movies with the Twi language.
Although, later it was disclosed that one Mr. Samuel Darko, famously known in the entertainment industry as Samdakus is the Chief Executive Officer of Kumawood, organizing company for the awards.
Recently, the annual Kumawood awards were took place in the first month of this year, January at the Golden Tulip Hotel in Kumasi.
