‘Lagos Party’ crooner, Banky W is planning to take a break some time soon from the music industry as an artist, whether recording or performing, to focus on finding a lady to wed and build a successful family with.
Banky W, who initially uncovered his intention to retire in 2015, made his new plans known at a meeting with the media.
News about Banky W that he was considering early retirement gone viral in June 2015, after a progression of tweets, where he uncovered, he has new endeavors underway, and in addition his heartily desire to work with a Mavin Records manager, Don Jazzy.
Not long ago, he uncovered, he would be releasing three consecutive albums in 2016.
Media assembled the three contain a solo album titled ‘Tunes About You’, a joint RnB with Iyanya and a rap mix tape with EME signee, DJ Xclusive.
And now at the meeting, Banky W made known his desire to have a life-partner and kids, a desire he has chosen to effectively seek after by taking some time off the music industry.
Carrying on with an artist’s life does not fit (sort of) working on a relationship. It’s hard.
It’s something that I truly need to do, so I need to take some time off, after I’m done releasing this music and doing shows, I need to take a break. Like I want to have a few children you know, get hitched, you know. Get hitched first and afterward have a few children’, he said.
About his approaching retirement, it shows up it may just be brief as Banky W expressed ‘Someone let me know that artists don’t retire. You stop when you don’t have anything (left) no more music left in you but on the contrary, I have a lot of music left in me’.
