Female Vocalist of the Year is one of the very difficult to attain categories in the current year’s prestigious Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMA) and one of the women in controversy is Ghanaian musician, Nana Yaa who is pretty sure that she stands high from all of the rest.
The other contestants in this toughest category are Efya, Yaa Yaa, Adina, MzVee and Irene Logan.
In any case, Nana Yaa is of the perspective that this award must go to her since her voice justifies itself. “I am Nana Yaa the Voice and everybody comprehends what I am standing for. I am not at all arguing about the fact that all other nominees are not that good.
She told Showbiz industry in a meeting on Tuesday that, “I truly appreciate those I am having competition with yet nobody approaches me”. Nana Yaa clarified that she is on the top for eternity and her hit single E Go Be even says all about her.
“I just dropped my hit single, E Go Be and it got nominations in the annual music awards in addition to I have had the chance to play at a considerable measure of corporate shows including to organize my own show.”
Despite the fact that Nana Yaa is sure that she stands prominent among the other nominees in the category of Female Vocalist of the Year, she is prepared to toss her weight behind any other contenders who gets that award.
The annual Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMAs) falls off on 7th of May at the International Conference Center, Accra.
According to popular female artist, no female musician has possessed the ability to take her place yet after she enjoyed a long reprieve from the music scene to deal with some personal family business. She believes that she must win this award.
