Players in the Ghanaian movie industry generally have been hitting hard on the omissions in the film industry in order to give it a perfect shape to have the capacity to contend with the outside world.
To add some point of view in the news, Ghanaian multiple award-winning movie director and producer, Jackson K Bentum says that our film industry lacks experienced casting directors, henceforth part of the hardships in the film industry.
As indicated by Mr. Bentum in an exclusive interview with Nkosuohene, he clearly said that the main reason behind mismatches in some movies is due to the absence of casting directors.
“Ghanaian film industry is getting short of good casting directors. The directors will look through the movie script to figure out who fits for a specific part before you call them on set to act. So in the event that we need the film industry to proceed onward well, we ought to begin considering casting directors. Some of the time we give somebody a role of father and when we look at the father and then child, there is no match between the two. In any event there should be a difference of age between them.”
Jackson is one of the best film producers and directors in the entire Ghana. He was delegated an award of the best Director (comedy) in the Kumawood Awards 2012.
