So many people started questioning in the matter of how Dancehall King got the deal, after listening to the news which broke about last week that Ghanaian Dancehall artist, Shatta Wale will be addressing at the Oxford Africa Conference 2016 and also he will be performing at the ‘After Party’ on the event .
Some people think that he worked for taking this opportunity and to be made speaker by his way in. On the contrary, others said the organizers of Oxford Africa Conference themselves contacted dancehall artist, and authorities paid him huge amount for coming there and for sharing his lifetime experiences as a dancehall musician becoming famous here in Ghana.
But when Chris Koney, his spokesperson was asked on Entertainment review show that whether musician tried to persuade for the Oxford Conference deal,
“Yes, we campaigned. I work with the group a year ago that’s why I myself put in the application and met up with them by sending the biography of dancehall artist to them and other details like, what type of music he is doing and other sort of stuffs he’s doing here in Ghana. Along these lines, they likewise considered my application wrote back to us. They felt like, yes Shatta Wale has seen many times and done it all.”
At the point when Akwasi Aboagye approached whether they’ve been paid for all this that musician will be doing as in addressing at the conference and from there on performing at the ‘After Party’. He answered,
“Are you serious about this? It’s not at all about huge amount of money but instead brand positing. You will converse with very well settled and business class individuals all inclusive like movers, presidents, and shakers of organizations over the world so it’s not about the cash. There involves no money, we are dealing with stuffs ourselves”.
The Oxford Africa Conference 2016 is slated to take place at Oxdord Union on May 21 and May 2, 2016.
