Artist supervisor, Nana Poku, generally known as Ashes has brought up a very serious question that why most Ghanaian superstars pass away poor.

His remark came following the reports that previous Ghana Actors Guild President, Nii Odoi Mensah, who kicked the bucket on Monday, required only $26,000 for his kidney treatment. It shows he died because of money.

While speaking to the host of the show, a passionate Nana Poku who couldn’t comprehend why our celebrities ask for backing to help them pay their doctor’s visit expenses, called for structures to be placed set up keeping in mind the end goal to ensure that on-screen characters are well to do.

He asked sadly, ‘Why do our most of the celebrities die poor? It will get to a time everybody will wander into governmental issues and you can’t reprimand them since what is in the acting field for me [them]? I wind up requesting for assets in times of need and in the event that I don’t get the said sum, I die. Take a gander at famous Ghanaian late comedians Nkommode, Bob Okala and the preferences’.

He also said, ‘The creative arts industry really needs structures. The inquiry I’m asking right now is, the reason do we have the School of Performing Arts at the University of Ghana? The individuals who pick that field, where is their career market? We don’t have a theater’.
