Ghanaian gospel artist, Kofi Sarpong
Recently, Ghanaian gospel artist, SP Kofi Sarpong and dancehall act, Stonebwoy were in the studios exclusively. It was an amazing moment when the host of the show asked Kofi Sarpong, which artist he would love to collaborate with? He said without taking a minute that, ‘It’s been my dream to meet the amazing dancehall act, Stonebwoy. I will die in peace now. I really respect him a lot and I hope my next generation will hear a collaboration amongst I and Stonebwoy.
He proceeded, ‘We’ve talked for some time now, I’m hoping that my dream will come true and we will collaborate certainly, in the coming future’.
It seems like the artists who act as trend setters in the music industry are going to take an alternate turn soon. We will witness the trends, like a dancehall artist will be collaborating with a gospel musician and it would be great. It will also give an advantage to the Ghanaian music industry.
Both great artists, Stonebwoy and SP Kofi Sarpong are being nominated for artist of the year category at the current year’s Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMAs) slated for the coming 7th of May, 2016.
