Ghanaian self-acclaimed dancehall king, Shatta Wale

Ghanaian self-acclaimed dancehall king, Shatta Wale has kept in touch with the Sports Ministry expressing his availability to coordinate musical shows and concerts, the country over to raise funds for the maintenance of the National Sports Stadiums in the country.

The Youth and Sports Minister, Nii Lante Vanderpujje uncovered this in an exclusive meeting with the media.

As indicated by the minister, the “Me Need No Awards” hitmaker, real name Charles Nii Armah Jnr. is stressed over the present condition of the four national sports stadiums and needs to contribute towards their upkeep by raising funds through the live concerts.

‘A week ago I got a proposition from the administrators of Shatta Wale… Shatta wants to coordinate live shows the nation over to raise funds for the recovery of the Accra, Kumasi, Essipong and Tamale sport stadiums, the previous Deputy Local Government Minister said.

He further said, ‘Shatta likewise wants to raise funds for the Black Stars, so when individuals are prepared to yield for the nation why if we rather permit others to waste assets’.

The four national stadiums – Accra, Sekondi, Kumasi and Tamale – are quickly breaking down after just eight years since Ghana hosted the Africa Cup of Nation’s.

The Sekondi and Tamale stadiums were intentionally built for the Cup of Nations back in the year 2008 while Accra and Kumasi really needed to experience restoration.
