Ghanaian best reggae/dancehall act, Stonebwoy
Ghanaian reggae/dancehall artist, Stonebwoy has ruled out any collaboration with the legendary dancehall artist, Shatta Wale. He declared this in an exclusive interview on the Ghana’s biggest celebrity show, Celebrity Fanzone, last Saturday.
The BET award winner, who recently lost out on the most prestigious award ‘Artist of the year’ at the just ended 2016 Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMAs) to the rapper, EL, said it was very shocking for him to see EL receiving that award yet he congratulated him and uncovered that EL is like a family member.
When the host asked Stonebwoy, whether he had any goals from doing any collaboration with the dancehall king, Shatta Wale, he declined to remark and totally ignored the question by saying, “next question please.” He later said that he had no intentions of doing any collaboration with Shatta Wale in the short term and he has his own reasons.
He proceeded, ‘I think my beloved fans ought to appreciate a lot of us little for the time being’.
‘Baafira’ hitmaker didn’t reveal the reason at the show, but in the past has expressed that Shatta Wale and the Shatta Movement family has disappointed him by certain comments made about him, which he accepted were unfavorable and unpalatable.
And on the other hand, Shatta Wale has recently posted that if any Ghanaian artist want to collaborate with him, then he must have to pay him for that and according to him its business and the rules for the business should be the same for companions as well as other people.
