It is obvious from the past few years that reggae/dancehall music genre has taken very huge place in Ghana along with the evolution of many dancehall artists in Ghana. Evidently, one could say it’s the greatest music genre right now in Ghana seeing its impact and how non “dancehallers” have even gotten much from the genre to get “ina di move”.
The TV show, “Late Night Celebrity Show” which was took place last night hosted by TV Host and renowned rapper Eddie Blay, raised some intriguing disclosures when two names that can’t be precluded of this crew, Shatta Rako also known as Kojo Legen and nominee for Best International Act Africa at BET 2016, MzVee “conflicted” on the program.
In a bit “contention” with dancehall artist, Shatta Rako, who is in the view that if we wanted to maintain the longevity of dancehall in the system then we have to keep this genre clean, furthermore engage the corporate community, the Dancehall Queen who uncovered she couldn’t talk the Jamaican patois in spite of what her fans believe, was of the perspective that dancehall is a “grimy” music genre and ought to be noted all things considered. “It’s a messy kind, kindly don’t make it beautiful”, “Normal Girl” hit maker told Shatta Rako.
In response to MzVee’s point, Shatta Rako stood firm to protect the dancehall and said dancehall is not at all dirty genre but rather just been labeled like that in light of the fact that a couple of artists them make it resemble that. He however would not specify anybody.
“Toward the day’s end” they both reported their feasible future plans and guaranteed their fans to continue imploring and supporting them to draw out the best in them. They both will be seen together in studios for a collaborative project.
