Kojo Antwi along with officails of GHAMRO
The first annual meeting of Ghana Music Right Organization (GHAMRO) took place at KNUST and music legend and Chairman of organization, Kojo Antwi announced that from now onwards, the music rights organization will distribute monarchs twice to individuals.
He said that the board is making plans to give duties to the organization members in the coming month, June and the second shift will be distributed later in this year.
The hip hop legend also known as ‘Mr. Music Man’ was talking to members and musicians at the Annual General Meeting of GHAMRO in the Kumasi, Ashanti Region.
The first GHAMRO annual meeting has grasped huge crowd including musical artists and publishers from the nation over, prominent among them are Nana Kwame Ampadu, Awurama Badu, Kofi Abraham, Aya Koo Nimo, Diana hopeson, Zapp Mallet, Nana Tuffour, Big Ben and many among others. Moreover, representations of all the Ghanaian music genres were displayed.
Chairperson of organization uncovered that as of now GHAMRO participation remains at 3,637 members among them 164 are publishers and members who give advice for the updation of records. He included that the aggregate of the single distribution from organization to team members in the previous year, 2015 is more than 380 percent what was disseminated by the past administration the prior year.
In comparison to the former management’s GHC 334,18, now GHAMRO distributed a total of Gh 1, 605,295.
