Self-acclaimed Ghanaian dancehall king, Shatta Wale

It seems, self-acclaimed Ghanaian dancehall king, Shatta Wale won’t miss any chance to show his anger about banning profane songs in Ghana. As he has recently blasted a music channel for showing an uncensored music video.

On the last Friday evening, the musical channel on-aired an uncensored music video which was from the well-known Jamaican dancehall artist, Kranium which starred Ty Dollar Sign ‘Nobody Has to Know’.

In case you are wondering, here is the past. Legendary dancehall artist, Shatta Wale released a profane song which was highly criticized by the general population. Later on, after a careful observation of all the matter, Musicians Union of Ghana (MUSIGA) warned the artists not to release any profane song and totally banned them. Shatta showed his disappointment via social media, but all in vein.

For now, ‘Me Need No Awards’ hitmaker posted on Instagram and asked a question that why he couldn’t have a music video with comparable substance on-aired if Ghanaians saw nothing amiss with that of a non-native.

He posted a video of the song and captioned it as: “Ghana can show this f*** f*** songs on tv, but wen I do it they won’t show it .. and will complain and talk about culture …Mtchewww”

Do you know any of the digital channels in Ghana and the messy substance they on-air? Let us know in the comments section.
