The Vodafone Unity Concert held on this Friday, 10 June 2016, at the National Theater has thrilled numerous football lovers and obviously music lovers to a splendid night.
The Masters of Ceremony (MC) for the unity event titled, ‘Vodafone Unity Concert’ were the very talented and gorgeous, Nana Ama McBrown and PY Addo Boateng. The event was hosted in the partnership with Stephen Appiah Unity football match.
At the amazing night, legendary Gospel artist, SP Kofi Sarpong has made his appearance in a very different way, he raised the curtain and everyone got shocked by his incredible performance. He set audience on fire and gave them hit after hit songs. His outstanding performance kept the crowd on their feet.
Other Ghanaian musicians attended the event including Gamilla, VVIP and Efya. They did their best to thrill the crowd with their performances on songs like “Telemo”, “Getaway”, “Besen”, “Skolom” many among others.
A National Anthem by the versatile Efya was surprise that got the patrons singing and cheering to show their patriotism to keep their country, Ghana safe, secure and in unity particularly as the nation gets ready to go into the presidential elections, 2016.
The BET award winner dancehall musician, Stonebwoy, who was the star entertainer of the event night, came in front of an audience without his customary Stonebwoy designed T-Shirt but instead he wore outfit with an eagle like shoulder coat, he gave a super live performance. He thrilled his fans by giving hit after hit songs. When he left, the audience was shouting for once more.
The event was attended by numerous ex footballers for example Augustine Ahinful, William Gallas, Stephen Appiah, George Boateng, SOI Campbell, Alex Song, Yakubu Aiyegbeni, Edgar Davids, Nwankwo Kanu. Few celebrities who graced the unity event were Elikem Kumordzi, the Tailor, Panji Annof and Luther.
