Ghanaian dancehall queen, MzVee
Ghanaian dancehall queen and most talked about female artist, MzVee was recently exclusively interviewed by the host, Nii Kpakpo Thomspon, where she discussed that why she has never performed outside the Ghana as well as her nomination in the up and coming BET Awards 2016.
MzVee expressed that, “People get it very wrong. I think that it is not about going to perform outside; going to perform in some little clubs somewhere that will give you the recognition that you need. If BET wanted someone international, why aren’t they using Beyoncé from Africa or something? They are looking at the works we are doing in our individual countries and they are trying to appreciate us for it. I just think a lot of people are ignorant about the fact that this has to do mainly about hard work and what my music is about.”
As indicated by the BET nominee, as Ghanaians we should rally behind our own, we are best in our own particular way. We should trust ourself if we want to make Ghana proud.
“I don’t have to stand on a stage outside to prove a point outside. People forget that every team has their strategy and mine has its strategy as well and ours is to conquer Ghana the right way and so I am not done from here and I don’t see why I am rushing to go and perform in some small club in London, why?”, she finished.
