Ghanaian reggae/dancehall artist, Bastero
Ghanaian fast rising reggae/dancehall artist, popularly known as Bastero in the music industry has just revealed a very shocking thing that his mother will not eat anything if he impersonates Ghanaian multi-talented dancehall artist, Samini. He also said that every single person has his own specific personality, so no one resembles others.
Bastero was exclusively interviewed on the Reggae Embassy show by the well known host, Fiifi Selah on the famous Accra-based radio station, this evening, where dancehall artist was asked by the host to give a freestyle, he surprised everyone by his unique style and the amazing thing was his style resembled no one. He did a really amazing job.
After witnessing the amazing style the host of the show Fiifi Selah didn’t stop himself asking the amazing artist that why his style is so not the same as the others. His reply was very unexpected, ‘My mother won’t eat if I start singing as artist like Samini’.
Later on, he tried to clarify his point by saying that he was not particularly alluding to Samini, but rather implied he would not mimic any musician for reasons unknown. Moreover, Bastero added that, this is very important for every artist to practice something new rather than emulating others.
