Kaakie
The dance-hall queen of Ghanaian musical industry, Grace Kaki Awo Ocansey who is popularly known by her industrial name Kaakie has established a foundation to support pregnant women of Ghana.
The foundation is titled as ‘Maternal Health and Child Liberty Foundation’. Kaakie also disclosed the mission behind this foundation.
In her interview she disclosed that the target of foundation is to make sure the safety of mother and child during pregnancy. Further she stated that the mission is to maintain the safety mother and child during pregnancy and after pregnancy.
She narrated that:
“First of all to authorize women and to authorize mothers, to ensure that the babies that are going to be delivered will be safe, the mothers will be safe, the duration of the pregnancy will be safe. We are not just targeting the mothers, but we are aiming the care that is given to the mothers, the care that is given to the baby inside the mother and the care given during delivery.”
She held BSc Degree in Midwifery. She disclosed that although she is a registered nurse but she preferred to follow music.
She came out with her latest single which is titled as ‘Sankwas’ featuring rapper Guru.
