Ace Ghanaian musician, Frank Mensah Pozo has revealed in a telephonic interview that the late legendary highlife artist, Daasebre Gyamenah copied his music style.
The highlife legend, Daasebre Gyamenah died last week, Friday due to some undisclosed ailment at the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital, Accra. It was a very big blow to entertainment industry.
The award winner of best Ebony singer told radio host, DJ Murphy Lee that the late singer imitated my style of music.
Apart from that he said, Daasebre Gyamenah was a very kind gentleman, he was very nice, loving fellow and passionate about his career. Radio presenters didn’t help him to promote his music album and he just left this cruel and hypocrite world.
He added, Daasebre was a very intelligent man who was always ready to learn innovative things and then practically implement those things into his music.
He further explained that why he said that late musician has copied his style, because at that time the manager of late artist, Mark Okraku Mantey used to visit studio where Daasebre did most of his songs and he noticed that the singer had copied his (Pozo) style for making his songs perfect.
He mourns over the death of his fellow artist and said we were working together in the studios for a new song, he added, “Daasebre and I were more than friends; in fact he was just like my brother.”
