The black queen, Wiyaala
The black queen of Ghanaian musical industry, Wiyaala in a few weeks will play recitals in Europe and in the US.
Wiyaala formally known as ‘the Young Lioness of Africa’, has been on trip from the last few months and has made an entrance at the ‘WOMAD International Arts Festival’ in July. In that time, she has also put out some new melodies.
Now, Wiyaala has proclaimed date for upcoming appearances onstage in the US, Germany and the UK. Flexing off her list of forthcoming performances is the admired ‘Ronnie Scott’s Jazz Club’ in London on 24 August.
Afterward, Wiyaala will seem at the launch of the Ghana Music Week in London. Then it will be Germany’s turn to swarm the singer on 26 August at the ‘Afrika Festival’ captivating place in Hamburg.
After playing numerous performances in Europe, Wiyaala will return in September for the ‘Legends of Africa’ affair, before playing with her national Rocky Dawuni in Los Angeles, USA.
Currently, she is brand ambassador for a number of interventions. Wiyaala is known as a supporter for gender equality. In July, she spoke to the international canal about child marriage and issues within the Ghana music industry.
