Today, August 12, is the One-week celebration of highlife singer Daasebre Gyamenah’ is happening at the yard of Omanhene Palace in Koforidua.

According to the sources, family of the late Daasebre Gyamenah’ has declared that the musician who became very famous for his presentation Kokooko which introduced Lord Kenya will be buried on October 14 in Koforidua.

Kofi Siaw who spoke to the media, said that before his burial on October 14, the remains of Daasebre Gyamenah would be given to the Muslim community, so that they perform their right.

Though, “As part of the burial actions, the family has definite that they will donate the remains of Daasebre Gyamenah to the Muslim community.
According to the sources, before he died,he was a Muslim not by birth and he was absolute to convert to Muslim when he grew up. So, they have decided to given the body to the Muslim people to perform all the rights but as part of the tradition of New Juaben, they are going to place Daasebre at Koforidua for everyone to tell what is happening.”

Many popular personalities who are in Koforidua to honor the memory of Daasebre Gyamenah are Abrekyieba Kofi Sammy, Akosua Agyapong and many others.
