Chief Executive Officer of Pidgin Music, Panji Anoff wishes that more people should follow the substantial life of the late ‘Mac Tonto’.
The UK born artist who grown the seed of his talent in 1990 on land of Ghana unveiled that the late Mac Tonto was one of the people who hailed youngers and taught them the basics of music.
Panji praised the late artist as, an establishing member of Ghanaian International music group, Osibisa said his connotation with musicians who were ahead of him remunerated off as he learnt by being around them.
He stated that:
‘I sought to do or move in a direction that I found motivating. Look at the ‘Mac Tonto’ and what ‘Osibisa’ has done and right now what he is doing. Mac Tonto was a very substantial man. He is one of the people possibly who required the least from you in other to teach you. He is gone but will never be elapsed. I wish more people were like Mac Tonto.’
Kweku Adabanka Tonto popularly known as Mac Tonto also earned the title ‘Trumpeter’. He died on 16 August, 2010 at the hospital of ‘Korle-Bu’. He was said to be suffering from stroke.
