The dance-hall champion, Shatta Wale unveiled that he won’t be submitting any of his work for next year’s show, following disagreements with the planner of the yearly ritual, Charter-house.
Some of Ghana’s major stars are still rejoicing winning some of the top awards at this year’s ‘Vodafone Ghanaian Music Awards’, while others (specially a few newcomers) will now be planning for the VGMA 2017 ceremony. But the person who won’t be involved in next year’s awards is dance-hall commando, Shatta Wale.
The rapper has come out publicly and avowed that he will not be submitted any of his work for next year’s show because Charter-house rejected his submission last year so he won’t submit next year.
According to him:
‘I will not submit my works for Vodafone Ghana Music Awards 2017. They rejected my submission last year so I won’t submit next year.’
He also clarified that it’s only people who have a chance of altering his mind are his fans.
‘If my fans ask me to succumb, why not? My fans are my God. So, I will listen to their guidance.’
Few months ago, before this year’s awards ritual, several celebrities called Charter-house out for proscription Shatta Wale’s music.
