Chris Koney, the public relations officer of popular Ghanaian music singer, Shatta Wale has exposed rumors that the hit song ‘Mahama Paper’ is NDC’s crusade song.
Rumors about the dance-hall commando’s association to the National Democratic Congress (NDC) heightened when big shots of the party were seen whistling along and dancing to his song when it was played at the NDC campaign launch on Sunday, in Cape Coast.
Mr. Koney clarified that clienteles at the campaign ground were only doing what usually happens when Shatta Wale’s songs are frolicked during public occasions.
He stated that:
‘As you know ‘Mahama Paper’ is one of the chief melody in the country at the moment. When you go out there to marriages, naming rituals, funerals and many public events the song is played. So, I believe that it is one of those things.’
Further he officially stated that Shatta Wale is not associated with NDC and he is not supporting the National Democratic Congress.
Mr. Koney has unveiled that the team Shatta has been involved in the promotion of peace during this canvassing period. However, Shatta has not recognized any political candidate. He passionately discarded the claim that hit song ‘Mahama paper’ is vended to the NDC.
