Akatakyie
Hiplife pair, ‘Akatakyie’ has designated that musicians Okyeame Kwame and Sarkodie as professionals when it comes to rap music.
Speaking to the media on Thursday’ Akatakyire said that “We are the best rappers in Ghana from 2000 till 2016, we are only giving them the chance to operate, and we are coming back for the crown winning, our rap is well-timed, reliable and always on point…we have lots in store for our supporters. They should remain to give us their support”.
So, In 1999, the pair came out with their maiden album ‘Odo esisi me’ which make them won the Best Hiplife song award in the first edition of the Ghana Music Awards planned in 2000.
Moreover, they have had hits like ‘Ghana mmaa’, ‘Odo esikyire’, ‘Agoo’, ‘Sinsima’, ‘Meyare’, ‘Esi’, ‘Masan aba’, ‘Odo ye musu anaa’, ‘Oman baapa’, and ‘Sie sie obaa no’ presenting Okyeame Kwame.
