Controversial Ghanaian comedian and singer, A-Plus real name Kwame Asare Obeng is ready to release new song today, September 1, 2016.
In an interview A-Plus exposed that his new single named ‘Ab?n B? Bom’ was created to caution some officials of the presiding National Democratic Congress for mishandling state resources.
According to him, those government appointees will soon account for the work which was allotted to them.
When inquired if he is a member of the opposition ‘New Patriotic Party’, he opined that ‘For me I support a Government which brings change. In 2007 I was against prior ‘President Kuffour’ because of so many things happened during his rule, but a Government which carelessly spends state funds on tree planting and raising of guinea fowls only for the citizens to be told the trees are scalded and the guinea fowls nowhere to be found must be chosen out of power.’
He added that, ‘I cannot hide it since we Ghanaians recompense taxes, we expect to see the country development but that is not so for which reason this government must go, I do not like them.’
He dropped his album, Freedom of Speech during the 2000 polls. The song ‘Mesuro Mpo Na Merekeka Yi O’ basically criticized politicians. His amusing and fairly accurate narration of political matters made the song an instance hit.
