Ace music producer, Mark Okraku Mantey
The legendary high-life singer, George Jarah has claimed that Mark Okraku Mantey is the inventor of the world applauded genre Azonto.
It’s not for the first that someone is claiming to be the originator of Azonto style music even it’s become trend now a days.
Many people from Ghana and Nigeria including legendary rap star, Sarkodie has claimed that he is inventor of one time popular genre.
In an interview George Jarah in doubt claims and whispered that the Azonto beat originated from his hit song ‘Ashikele’ which was formed by legendary sound producer, Mark Okraku Mantey. He exposed that he only voiced the melody to make it popular although the rhythm’s credit goes to Mark Okraku Mantey.
The musician also clarified that each generation produce new and amusing things and he clarified that such things pass along with their masters.
‘I also came with a new elegance which also made great influence in the industry. Music develops every ten years and so shall it be. It’s their time, let them to have delight in it’ he pointed out.
He labelled Okraku Mantey as one of the best Directors he has ever worked with and he desired to work with him again.
