The dance-hall champion, Shatta Wale has unveiled that why he decided to alter his name from Bandana to his current name.
Almost three years ago, dance-hall commando appeared in music world after about 10 years of departure with a new name.
He claimed that previous name was rebranding. He wanted to sightsee more into the world. He desired to make his melodies known by the bigger markets, and as a dance-hall artiste. He thought that the name Bandana was a bit local for the international fair. He decided to get a name that will at least cause newsflash, the only name that contained the ability was Shatta.
He also illuminated that how his altered name has provided him monetary reward. He claimed that most Nigerians even think that he is Nigerian because of his name. It’s good as an advertising tactic as well as because anytime he go to Nigeria, people always ask him is he native of Nigeria and he always respond in negative. He mentioned that his changed name has actually toiled because it is an African tinkle.
During interview he talked about his successful experience of 02 in London and he also discussed his fore coming projects.
