The queen of African music world, Yvonne Chaka Chaka appreciated the role of Ghana and many other countries who worked in ending movement ‘Apartheid’ in her country.
As we know the legendary singer arrived Ghana just 1 day ago. The particular interview was conducted by radio canal of Ghana. She seemed to be thanking countries like Ghana for providing accommodation to South Africans who struggled for the end of Apartheid was decisive in the run to end the law.
According to her:
‘Today, I stand very proudly of being a real African. Clearly, when I was born during the Apartheid years, things were very, nevertheless. Thank you to countries like Ghana, Uganda, Nigeria and Tanzania, who accommodated our brothers when they were in émigré. Today I walk tall because I have been given back my liberty.’
The nightingale of Africa has been doing music for the past 31 years. Yvonne Chaka Chaka started her career in 1985. Now she is 50 years old and she considered her life as blessing for her. The last album which she released was titled as ‘Amazing Man’ in 2013. Such inspiring album contained the motivating songs about the legends of Africa like Kwame Nkrumah, Julius Nyerere and Nelson Mandela.
