The glamorous actress of Kumawood, Mercy Asiedu seemed to be endorsing the leading opposition party, NPP.
Such picture for her gone viral on social media in which she wore the dress that resembled to NPP’s official flag. The fans estimated that she is going to join the list of those artists who endorsed the chairperson of opposition party, Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo.
Just few years ago, it was unimaginable for stars of Kumawood to endorse any political party of the country because their star background was effected badly by such act. Even if you move in history you will know that Mr. Beautiful when openly endorsed presiding party his career was victimized and producers ostracized him.
Many artists openly endorsed the opposition party and believed in change. While endorsing such party they disclosed that they are fed-up with such corrupt system. Name of some artists are Agya Koo, Matilda Asare, Cwesi Oteng, Lucky Mensah, Socrate Sarfo, A Plus, Wisa, Bibi Bright and Leo Mensah.
In February 2016, the news was circulated on social media that Mercy Asiedu has collected money to crusade for President Mahama. She reflected her reaction about such news and said that she will curse anybody who markets false rumors about her.
