The well-known actress of Ghana, Mercy Asiedu has rejected such rumors that she has endorsed the opposition party, NPP.
Earlier, the picture gone viral on social media in which Mercy Asiedu appeared in such dress which resembled to NPP official flag motive.
In recent interview she disclosed that the picture was taken about four years ago when she appeared in the crusade of NPP’s parliamentary contender, Dorme Kwabenya, Adwoa Sarfowaa in the Greater Accra Section.
According to her:
‘I do not know who got the pictures out but those pictures are taken in 2012. You know Adwoa Sarfowaa is my church affiliate at Kristo Asafo Church so she requested me to join her crusade launch in 2012. When I touched there, someone gave me the NPP hat and other ornamental items. I don’t support any political party. I love all the contenders and I am not agitation for any party.’
Her quick response to such allegations may prove that she don’t want to involve herself in endorsing any political party but she also clarified that she always stand for peace and she is ready to work with any government that comes into power because her interest is to serve Ghanaians.
