Out of the 16 films in competition at the 2015 Sembene Ousmane Film Prize, two Ghanaian movies has been nominated in the Zanzibar International Film Festival, which has selected films from 11 countries, USA, Brazil, Senegal, Madagascar, Ghana, Cameroon, Morocco, Kenya, South Africa, Ethiopia and Tanzania.
The Ghanaian movies the nomination includes, “The Traveller” by Victoria Dogbe and “Kwaku” by Anthony Nti.
Fabrizio Colombo, the ZIFF Assistant Film Director International explains, “The awards are given to rewards the best short film producers and to encourage the young talent.”
The top three movies selected will be screened at the ZIFF 2015, which opens on July 18, and the new films screened in ZIFF 2016.
