Mercy Asiedu
The well-known Kumawood celebrity, Mercy Asiedu has rejected such report circulating in Ghana that she has denied the chairperson of opposition party, NPP, Nana Akufo Addo.
Earlier, her picture gone viral on social media in which she seemed to be endorsing NPP. When particular news reached to her ears. She quickly reacted on such news and said that she didn’t endorse NPP. This case entered in other phase when such news scattered everywhere that she has refused the offer of Nana Akufo Addo.
In her latest interview she unveiled that she never had a meeting with Nana Addo for particular purpose. Further she sustained that she didn’t deny Nana Akufo Addo and she also labelled such reports as disgusting. Such interview was conducted by flexible journalist, Tony Best. Her words are mention below:
‘I read some news saying Mercy Asiedu denies Nana Addo, I have not denied anyone. I have not had a talk with anyone for me to deny him so that story is not true.’
She sustained that she would not involve herself in politics because her occupation does not allow her to recommend any political party. It’s not the first time she is facing such condition. In past she faced such allegations of endorsing NDC.
