The famous personality of TV, George Quaye has appreciated the Electoral Commission of Ghana because particular department has disqualified some presidential candidates from the December polls for failing to meet the nomination obligation for the Presidential race.
On Monday, the Electoral Commission of Ghana announced the disqualification of 12 contenders because they didn’t fill the nomination forms according to requirements.
The radio personality took his social media account to escalate such department. He wrote that finally someone dares to refuse to bend the rules to accommodate the sub standards and mediocrity like the Madam EC Chair has done. To support his statement he used strong words from English vocabulary.
Further he sustained that if all of them including him would ensure the right thing is done all the time, regardless the challenges and circumstances.
Names of some candidates who faced disqualification are Dr. Henry Herbert Lartey of the Great Consolidated Popular Party (GCPP), Hassan Ayariga of the All People’s Party (APC), Dr Papa Kwesi Nduom of the Progressive People’s Party (PPP), Nana Konadu Agyeman Rawlings of National Democratic Party (NDP), Kofi Apkalu of the Independent People’s Party (IPP) and Akua Donkor of the Ghana Freedom Party (GFP).
