The popular sound engineer, Appiah Dankwah popularly known as Appietus has unveiled that Daddy Lumba’s “Nana Ye Winner” for the New Patriotic Party is the biggest political crusade song ever released in Ghana.
In an interview he made such statement that he produced such songs because of the paid amount. He said he never done any song in result of political affiliation. Although, he shown green sign for every musician but he clarified that he will do song for any musician who will pay him for his amenities.
The sound producer clarified he is not worried if people tag him as a member of NPP because of the songs he has recorded for the artists who have recommended the political parties. He also said there is nothing wrong for musician to record songs for political party.
Appietus recorded campaign song with Daddy Lumba and A-Plus. He is currently working on A-plus second song which is titled as ‘Aye Late’. This song is against Mahama’s supremacy.
This year many industrial players had openly endorsed their favorite political parties. Names of some artists who dropped their songs in love of their political mentors are Daddy Lumba, Kwabena Kwabena, A-Plus, Isaiah Kwadwo Ampong, Diana Asamoah, Mzbel, Lucky Mensah, Joel Ackah, Bukom Banku and many others.
