Like Cotton Twines, is the latest film which is produced by the Ghanaian top film producer Leila Djansi. According to the sources, she got the 1st prize for the narrative story at the just over Savannah Film Festival.
Though, it was a socially frustrating drama and its story revolves around a young girl in JHS who is to become a slave to the gods to say sorry for her father’s crime.
So, Leila is very excited to get the top prize and in this excitement, she posted the image of the award on her (Facebook) page.
She is one of some others celebrities in the film industry like Juliet Asante, who are trying to bring Ghana onto the world screen after entering to the film industry.
Savannah Film Festival was the 19th edition of this year and it was occurred from October 22 to 29.
Meanwhile, Like Cotton Twines 1st screened at the 20th urban world Film Festival in New York City.
