Ghanaian top artist Sarkodie was declared Best Singer of the Year at the initial edition of the Ghana Music Awards UK.
The most decorated Ghanaian singer in the past years beat competition from leading artist of the year at the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards, M.anifest, Guru, EL, Yaa Pono, Flowking Stone, Pappy Kojo, Obrafour, Edem and Omar Sterling to pick up the high-status award.
According to the sources, the other winners were Shatta Wale, Fuse ODG, Stonebwoy and Kofi Kinata with many others.
The event presented by Alordia Promotions and West Coast UK was occurred at the Gaumont Palace, London and saw Vox Africa and Kwaku Owusu Frimpong of Rainbow Radio, Confidence Haugen and DJ Abrantie and Evelyn Asante of ABN Radio and TV as hosts.
