Nana Boroo
The legendary musician, Joe Fraizer uttered that his fellow expert musicians, Nana Boroo and Akoo Nana become irrelevant for music industry.
As we know the hip-life musician is active to remove ‘borla’ means garbage from music industry. As he thought that some artistes today only release ‘borla’ songs. He believed that if garbage is not removed from the industry it will probably cause the demise of the hip-life genre.
‘If we really want hip-life to stay, we need to make sense in our songs. People think that hip-life is all about wearing bigger earrings, bigger jeans and other stuffs.’
He also mentioned “Like ‘Ye Wo Krom’ by Atom is conscripted in list of borla. He said the song was poorly rapped and instrument was also poor.
Further he added that musicians like EL started his musical career with Azonto. Such genre made him EL but now Azonto is gone but his value is still on his peak. Narrating the reason he said he is still relevant because he kept reinventing himself.
He openly declared that Azonto is no longer considered as relevant genre in Ghanaian music world. He said Ghanaians have lost interest in Azonto type songs.
