MTV Base Africa is the International music/ entertainment channel.
According to the sources, MTV has listed top famous Ghanaian musicians such as Sark, Worlasi, Edem, Omar Sterling and BBNZ’s E.L amongst their 2016 list of most recent MCs in the country.
It is fact that this year 2016 has been very lucky and momentous for the rap scene in Ghana, with M.anifest and Sarkodie often capturing the headings for a main while with their passionate lyrical strife.
Though, Omar Sterling’s September mixtape Victory also made a strong case for lyricism through Harmony, which many think was in the weakening.
The sources said that project received much praise from the country’s top music critics and as well as industry colleagues alike, noticeable among them are being controversial FOKN Bois member Wanlov Da Kuborlor.
According to the list include VRMG frontman Edem, Pappy Kojo, FlowKing Stone, D-Black, Ko-jo Cue and Supreme Rights fellow Worlasi Lagani, whose much contribution to hiphop in Ghana cannot be interrogated.
